An update on our Distillery Visitor Attraction in light of the ongoing global health risk posed by COVID-19

Tuesday 17th March 2020

The well-being of staff, customers and visitors will always be the primary focus for Edinburgh Gin. Therefore, in light of the ongoing global health risk posed by COVID-19, we’ve taken the difficult decision to close our Rutland Place distillery to members of general public for the time being.

Although there is no suggestion of COVID-19 on site, our position as a popular tourist destination gives us a responsibility to help in reducing the further spread of this pandemic in Edinburgh and further afield.

While this is disappointing news for us to have to share, we feel it is an essential step in protecting our employees, our customers and the wider community. We are treating COVID-19 seriously in all aspects of our business and we will continue to follow advice given by the UK Government and relevant local and global health authorities.

Despite the temporary closure of the visitor experience at Edinburgh Gin, our distillation processes will continue to operate as normal, producing our full range of gins and liqueurs.

Anyone who has booked a tour or tasting at the distillery can cancel and claim a full refund, or reschedule to a later date, by replying to your booking confirmation or emailing info@edinburghgin.com with your booking ID.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you in advance for your understanding.
